I first saw a Rod concert in 1978 and only a few times since. I was never close enough to catch one of his soccer balls. I was lucky to get a last minute, front row ticket for his 2010? Concert at The Borgata in Atlantic City, NJ. He did low kick a couple of balls and aimed one to me. Unfortunately , it dropped behind the barriers. Knowing it was intended for me, a Security Guard retrieved and gave it to me. It was a surreal moment! The ball is in mint condition and has been stored in a basket. I love the slight smudging of the autograph. To me, it shows more of an authenticity. The ball has lost some air over the years. But, the memory will always be in my heart.
