Vintage 1976-77 Adidas NASL Minnesota Kicks Autographed Official Match Ball

This is so cool! An official North American Soccer League, NASL game ball. This ball is from the 1976 – 77 era and is autographed by many of the inaugural Minnesota Kicks team. The ones that I can make out are. Coach – Freddie Goodwin. #2 – Ron Webster. #3 – Frank Spraggon. #4 – Peter Brine. #5 – Steve Litt. #6 – Alan Merrick. #7 – Mike Flater. #8 – Tom Howe. #9 – Alan Willey. #11 – Patrick “Ace” Ntsoelengoe. #14 – Doug Brooks. #15 – Jeff Solem. #16 – Nick Owcharuck. #17 – Sam Bick. #18 – Ron Futcher. #21 – Ade Coker. And at least 3 others. The ball is in good condition, but does not hold air. There is some yellowing and some of the signatures are fading as to be expected with a 40 some year old ball. RARE & UNIQUE 1984 NASL NORTH AMERICAN SOCCER LEAGUE FIRST & LAST ANNUAL CHICAGO TRIBUNE CHARITIES ALL STAR GAME SIGNED SOCCER BALL. THIS ALL STAR GAME WAS HELD ON FEBUARY 8th 1984. THERE WILL BE PREVIOUS USE SHOWN AND LOOKS TO HAVE BEEN DAMAGED FROM USE AND MOST LIKELY WILL NOT HOLD AIR. BALL APPEARS TO HAVE ROUGHLY NINETEEN (19) SIGNATURES WITH SOME THAT WE HAVE ATTEMPTED TO LOOK UP AND LISTED IN DESCRIPTION. SOME OF SIGNATURES ARE LIGHT AS SHOWN MAYBE DUE TO AGE. 1980s NASL Game Ball Team Signed VANCOUVER WHITECAPS

Rare, NASL (North American Soccer League) game/ match used ball. Team signed/autographed by members of the Vancouver Whitecaps. 24 blue ink autographs are spread out across the panels. In 1975, the NASL used a leather ball by Adidas which was similar to this ball. It had white with blue panels adorned with red stars outlined in white. The NASL logo and the facsimile commissioner signature appears on one panel while a large Adidas logo found on the next panel over with Made in France just below. The Adidas NASL game ball was in use from 1975 to about 1983. Circa 1983, the league awarded the game ball license to WILSON. The ball for sale here has the facsimile’Phil Woosnam’ signature. Woosnam was replaced at the end of the 1983 season as NASL Commissioner so this is likely a 1983 game ball. The league folded at the end of the 1984. Many of the autographs are light but several are still readable. Reviewing the team rosters this appears to be signed by the 1984 Whitecap team. Signatures include: Eddie Kruger, Ralph Mazzucco, Paul Nelson, Peter Ward, Chris Turner, David Houston, Barry Dearden, Colin Todd, Fran OBrien, Carl Valentine, David Norman and 13 others. The A written on the ball, I believe indicates that this was a game ball and the use backs this up. 1975 Pele Autographed Official Adidas NASL Soccer Game Ball – Miami Toros Auto’d. Vintage and all original 1975 season official Adidas NASL game ball signed by the greatest player ever, Pele! Also holds the vintage red ballpoint ink signatures of a good number of the visiting 1975 Miami Toros players who were in New York to play Pele and the New York Cosmos. This was Pele’s first season on the three he played with the Cosmos. Ironically, it would be during another Cosmos vs. Miami game the following season when Pele would record his most famous bicycle kick goal! The ball is quite collectible on its own but that Pele sig is a peach! The ball shows game use, of course and still has a good amount of the brownish “Durlast” protective coating that came on these older model NASL match balls. This style ball, without the patent info, was used from 1975 through 1979 in all NASL games. Along with the Pele signatures, i can also make out the following Toros players. Plus four or five others i cant make out. The sigs vary in condition and some are lighter. It was signed after the game by Pele (Edson = Pele signature, very rare) and the ball was raffled off to the spectators. Ball is in great condition, bladder is intact, but valve has a slight leak.
